The students who win in this job market think like founders.
This free course shows you how to help yours become one.
Launch Your Career Like a Startup. Graduate With Offers, Not Anxiety.
Career Currency Academy (CCA) flips the college journey. Instead of waiting to start a career, students spend four years building one, the way founders launch a startup: developing Candidate-Market Fit and lasting Social Capital that opens doors to opportunities, long before the job search begins. They don't wait until senior year to compete and hope to be picked.

This isn't just our take. It's the headline everywhere right now.
The real ROI on a college degree isn't the diploma. It's what your student builds with it.
We ask students to chase goals that keep moving as they get closer, then send them into a labor market that is demanding skills they were never taught, for jobs that didn't exist when they started college.
A four-year degree can cost $180,000 or more when you include tuition, housing, and lost income, according to Federal Reserve Bank of New York research. But colleges don't teach students how to get hired. That gap is what this course closes.
The career reality most families don't see until it's too late
There's a white space between "get good grades" and "get a job" where no one teaches students what makes them valuable to employers.
Students approach their careers like founders building a startup. They continuously learn what the market needs, build proof they can deliver it, and develop relationships with professionals who provide insight, credibility and access to opportunity. By the time they need a job, they aren't starting from zero.
Applicants wait. Founders build.
- Candidate-Market Fit The value a student builds for the market: the right skills, experience and proof.
- Social Capital The professional relationships that provide market intelligence, credibility, introductions and access.
Students build both at the same time. Every conversation with a professional helps them understand what the market is demanding while building a relationship worth maintaining.
This is the foundation of Career Currency Academy: a system students use throughout college to build the market value employers want and the professional relationships that create access to opportunity.

Nick built Career Currency from direct experience on both sides of the hiring table. He spent years working with Fortune 2000 companies to identify and reach the overlooked talent their own hiring systems were filtering out. That work revealed the structural gaps that cause strong students to be passed over, and Career Currency is the system built to close them. Heather co-instructs the video curriculum with him.
Nick brings a background working with Fortune 2000 companies to find overlooked talent, plus a deep network in hiring management, to everything Career Currency teaches. He's spent years studying why some students thrive in the job market while equally talented peers struggle, and built a system from those patterns.
Heather combines career strategy expertise with a practitioner's understanding of how modern hiring actually works. She's worked alongside Nick to translate decades of recruiting insight into a structured, teachable system that any student can implement, starting from day one of college.

- ✓ A role for parents, not just students
What families are saying
Strategic families are getting strategic results
We'd been telling our daughter to "network more" for two years, but none of us really knew what that was supposed to look like. Going through the pilot gave us a completely different way to think about it. The Lead Investor idea especially helped us understand the role we could play without trying to manage her career.
I expected the pilot to be the same career advice I'd heard before. It wasn't. The idea of starting with the market, talking to professionals, learning what employers value, and building toward that completely changed how I thought about preparing for a career. I wish I'd learned this freshman year.
We were invested a lot in four years at a great university for our oldest, but only afterward realized how little we had thought about the transition from college to getting hired. Our daughter participated in the pilot, and it made us see that career preparation should have been happening alongside college, not at the end of it.
I went through the pilot with my mom, and that ended up being one of the most useful parts. We both understood what I was trying to do and why. Instead of just telling me to network, she could help me think through who to talk to and what to ask. Within a month, I'd had three informational interviews.

Common questions
Before you watch
Is this actually free, or is there a catch?
Completely free. No credit card, no obligation. You walk away with a framework that changes how you think about your student's career, whether or not you go further.
My student is already a junior or senior, is it too late?
Not at all. Seniors who start still see meaningful results within a single semester. Earlier is better, but late is far better than never.
My student already has good grades, do they still need this?
This is one of the most important questions we get. Grades are the entry ticket, they keep you in the game. But they don't win it. The students who struggle most are often high-GPA students who believe their transcript will do the work for them, only to discover that their academic record is invisible to most of the market. Deloitte's 2026 Gen Z and Millennial Survey found that 72% of Gen Zs and 69% of millennials now turn to AI for career advice. AI can polish a resume. It cannot build the relationships that get one read. Career Currency is for every student, regardless of GPA. Academic performance matters, but it isn't enough. Students need both the market value employers want and the relationships that help that value get seen.
Can students watch this, or is it only for parents?
Yes. Many families watch together. If you're a student: watch it. You'll think differently about the next three months.
How long does the course take?
About 25 minutes total across 3 modules. Most families watch it in one evening.
Can't my student just watch career videos on social media?
Social media career content is everywhere, and some of it is genuinely useful. But there are three problems with relying on it. First, it is not always current. Videos made one or two years ago may describe a hiring market that has changed significantly. Second, it is not specific. A sixty-second clip on networking gives the same advice to a pre-med junior and a senior in supply chain. It cannot account for your student's major, their target industry, or where they are in their college journey. Third, it is not a system. It is a collection of disconnected tactics that do not build on each other. Career Currency is a sequential, compounding system designed to be implemented across all four years of college. The information in a social media video is available to everyone. The system is what creates the advantage.
